History

When Team Image former head coach Sylvia Muccio, relocated from Chicago, she introduced the New York City Metropolitan area to the sport of Precision Skating. Originally started as a class, local skaters comprised the first team which performed in the Ice Show at the E.J. Murrays skating center in Yonkers, New York.

With the formation of the Yonkers Figure Skating Club in 1986, Team Image would now have a club to represent at USFSA competitions.  In 1988, the Yonkers Figure Skating teams were formed. Originally competing as the Ice Images, Ice Imagettes and Mirror Images, the local Yonkers Figure Skating Club skaters enjoyed success, advancing to the National Championships and attracting skaters from the Tristate area. Precision Skating would eventually be known as Synchronized Skating, and in 1999, the Yonkers Figure Skating Club Skaters would be known as Team Image.

Throughout the past 30 years, Image teams have competed in every USFSA qualifying Division and have advanced to the USFSA National Championships.  The Intermediate division won the gold medal at the National Championship in 2009. Today, the Team Image organization is made up of over 60 skaters from New York and Connecticut who form 5 teams.
